Lisa Cloherty is the executive director and chief clinician at the Gift of Gab. She grew up in New York and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland. She completed her Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from Northeastern University. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and a licensed speech-language pathologist in the state of Massachusetts and Connecticut. Gift of Gab was born in the south shore of Massachusetts and after five wonderful years has been relocated to Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Lisa is a certified provider of The Listening Program, which is a music listening therapy that provides engaging brain stimulation to train the auditory system to accurately process sound. She has vast experience working in public schools, outpatient clinics, and private practice. Additionally she has led social pragmatic groups for children on all levels of the Autism Spectrum.

Lisa founded Gift of Gab to provide personalized assessment and treatment of preschool to school-aged children dealing with communication disorders. Gift of Gab understands that each child is unique in their abilities therefore each therapy session is tailored to their interests and individual needs. She works to make speech and language therapy a positive experience for children and their families. She understands that the key to a child's success is the carryover of therapy goals. This is why Lisa collaborates with families and other team members to design activities to ensure communication growth. She looks forward to becoming part of your family!
